June 2011 - Asked a few friends and family to pray with us about God's call for us to care for the orphan.
June 9, 2001 - God answered . . . we are called to adopt a son from Africa!
June 20, 2011 - Chose to work with All God's Children International, but we have to wait until Grayson is one year old in December.
July 13, 2011 - Started selling our amazing adoption t-shirt as our first fundraiser!
July 22 & 23, 2011 - 2 day yard sale fundraiser . . . $1700!
September 1, 2011 - First of many adoption raffles on the blog to raise funds!
September 2011 - Announced that our little boy's name will be Easton!
October 20, 2011 - Submitted our application with $300 fee to AGCI! (They changed their policy and now you can begin when your youngest child is 6 months.)
October 20, 2011 - Our application was accepted! We are officially adopting with AGCI!
October 24, 2011- First phone call with Ashley Davis from LBCH who will be doing our home study.
October 25, 2011 - Got fingerprinted and put our FBI background check application in the mail.
October 26, 2011 - Orientation phone call with AGCI.
October 27, 2011 - Mailed in contract to AGCI and paid $7390 in fees. Praise God for providing!
November 7, 2011 - Dossier Planning phone call with Toni . . . overwhelmed doesn't begin to explain!
November 8, 2011 - Chad had his physical and TB test.
November 14, 2011 - Cole had her physical and TB test.
November 18, 2011 - We hit $15,000 in our adoption fund! Praise God for providing!
December 5, 2011 - HOMESTUDY! We had a great day with our social worker . . . love her!
January 7, 2012 - Got our FBI clearances in the mail after waiting 9 weeks! Merry Ethiopian Christmas to us!
April 25, 2012 - Our homestudy is DONE and in my hands! Happy Day!
April 26, 2012 - Mailed our USCIS application and our Show Hope grant application.
June 6, 2012 - USCIS fingerprints are done and our dossier is in the mail to AGCI! We're done!
July 2, 2012 - Mailed in our re-done criminal checks. NOW we are done!
